Why are so many people using Invisalign experiencing gum recession when I’ve never heard of such a problem with traditional braces? What is wrong with Invisalign? I had Invisalign done with a so-called dentist who supposedly had a post-graduate in orthodontist and he left me with gum recession among other problems. I think the risks around Invisalign are not being properly disclosed to patients before consenting to treatment. Doctor, what is your view on Invisalign vs traditional braces and gum recession? @T I agree I have issue with one aligners company. It cause many issues in my mouth now. The result was not as a treatment preview at all. I have a plan to report and complain them to dentist college , BBB, News company. We have to stop these business. Who else has these issue. Maybe we can set up a grop.

@Jose Valdez right. I though I was doing something good for the longterm care of my teeth, but now, a year later and I’m worried that I made a huge mistake. About to go get a second opinion at an orthdontist and see if there’s anything that can be done to get things somewhat back to normal.
@MoonFullofStars I found another orthodontist who moved my teeth slightly back and managed to revert a bit the recession. I tried going after the first dentist with a solicitor, but when asked for my medical records he completely falsified them. I also reported them to the dental organisation that is supposed to supervise them, they saw through the falsification but closed the case with just a warning to the dentist (completely protecting their own). There’s a massive issue with Invisalign technology that allows just unethical dentists to move teeth when they don’t know what they are doing because simply they didn’t study the science of moving teeth. I also had issues with allergies to the Invisalign plastic, and I’m not the only one. Invisalign blames the patient saying there’s a problem with our saliva… sure, all of us have a problem with our saliva… come on! The whole thing is a scam!

It happened to my gum. I got miner crook at the middle bottom teeth. After, a while the gum only in the middle bottom teeth got recession and bone loss like mandible bone where the root teeth stick on it. So sad.
Yeah I was about to get candid (cheaper alternative to Invisalign) for my bottom row bc they shifted back after not wearing my retainers. But my gums are already kind of recessed and I don’t wanna make it worse soo I think I’ll leave them as is. Saves me like $3500 too. Healthy gums over perfectly straight teeth!
