  1. Thank you for this. This video was very helpful! I think I’m going to go with the braces. Only because I’m a bit lazy and may not wear the Invisalign’s as I should.

  2. Dentist quote me $4500 for Invisalign and $4200 for Traditional Braces (After Insurance)…. It’s a NO Brainer! $300 difference…GO for Invisalign!

Asked my Dentist as to why it’s not that significant difference between the two…..Dentist answered that INVISALIGN takes 10 Months to complete whole cycle/process while Traditional Braces takes 16-18 months, that’s why the Office visits are cut to more than half as compared to Traditional ones..because you need to go to the Dental Office for frequent adjustments, whereas with Invisalign the dentist will give you 2-3 subsequent impressions to change every week…..

I’m telling you…even if the total difference is $500…just GO for invisalign…. You just need to have it in your mouth for 22 hours a day and you have 2 hours to take it off for your toothbrushing and eating….Isn’t it neat??…Can’t pay for that convenience!!!!

  3. I had braces for about 2 years or so at around age 40. Bec I was always insecure about my teeth. I had a shitty Dentist growing up. And he just said it’s not possible. I’ve later heard some inane stories about this dentist. I had mostly good experience with my metal braces. I never tried anything else. I would like the back teeth to be closer together as I get food stuck in it more now than I did before. So it seems they didn’t move it as much as the other teeth. I noticed this more on the left side. I also got into the habit of taking better care of my oral hygiene in general. So,. Thats exciting. I floss every day use oral rinses, and brush 2+ times a day. Rather than only 2 times. I wonder if there would be an option to move those back teeth tighter. Do you think they would be included in my original cost if I was to ask.

  4. I was lucky, I hardly ever flossed and relied on rinses and normal brushing though more often. Luckily, I didn’t have any cavities during this time. And haven’t since.

  5. I never had braces but have Invisalign’s and have TMJ through out my journey. It varies from tray to tray. It was getting better until the most recent set of trays. It frustrating and also be embarrassing with the loud clicking when you open your mouth the speak or eat.

  6. Alright, that’s it, I’ve had enough: IT’S NOT AN ALGORITHM!!!!!

It is a machine learning model (or ML Model) that learns based on aggregated behavior. An algorithm implies that the machine follows a strict set of steps someone implemented for it but this is not the case for YouTube. The machine adapts to changes in the model and thus the behavior evolves.

  7. I wore braces when I was a kid and I HATED it: the wire and the braces would always be cutting inside my cheeks, it would make cleaning my teeth a big challenge and because I never paid attention to the food I ate, braces and wires were always popping out.

Because of an unfortunate chain of poor decisions, I’m once again in a position where I have to wear braces but I chose Invisalign this time and while I feel it’s taking forever, the level of discomfort is much milder to what I remember when I had braces… still, I hate it lol.

  8. I just finished my Invisalign. It was a TON of work. You really need to be on top of things and if you’re a very busy or lazy person…don’t get them. Sometimes I would leave the house without remembering to put them in and have to go back to get them – making me late for work. Anytime you eat you must take them out and going to a restaurant is weird because you can’t do that at the table…it’s gross. A few times I lost my trays and had to call my dentist to get new ones created. You have to follow a VERY strict schedule for changing the trays to allow your bones to heal gradually as you move from tray to tray AND you must be consistent in wearing them…If you don’t, you risk just loosening your teeth. You must wear them for 22 hours a day and even though you can only drink water while they’re in, (and it feels weird to put them in without brushing and flossing so snacking is out of the question and is more work) the trays still get gross and need to be cleaned (I would soak them in salt water and brush them with baking soda).
I’m SO glad it’s over!! If I had to do it all over again, I would definitely go with the metal braces..
After you finish correcting your smile, you must continue to wear your retainer because your teeth will want to move out of alignment again. So wear it!
Lastly, if you a thinking about correcting your teeth, just do it! NOW!!! I’m so glad I did it and wish I had done it years ago so do it now. My dentist told me that aligned teeth are easier to keep clean.
So..invest in an electric toothbrush AND a water pick AND floss every time you brush (and whenever you can’t). Leave no trace of food in your mouth and avoid acidic foods (lemons, vinegars etc). Teeth take a lot of work (yours) to maintain so see your hygienist regularly and remember the dentist is only there to repair your abuse and neglect afterwards. It’s all about your consistent maintenance …and self love. ❤️ Best wishes!

  9. I had house made by my orthodontist 3d printed aligners for 6 months (minor spacing) and I was very diligent about flossing, brushing and cleaning teeth and aligners before putting on. Afterwards I had an obscene amount of deep cavities and root canals and pain. I had no sign of anything for 15 years, I cant help but think the aligners had some cause.
